First and foremost, Elmo considers himself an artist above all.
His career began with his apprenticeship in Texas at the age of 17 and began full time tattooing at the age of 18. Now with over 12 yrs of full time tattooing under his belt he loves it now more than ever. Since his days in Texas he has moved and tattooed all throughout the Midwest, working his way up through Oklahoma, Iowa, till now where he lives and works full time in Kansas City, MO.
Over the years his style has leaned more to the new school color bomb, almost a neo-traditional feel to his work, but more than welcomes any and all challenges, cause he feels if you don’t push yourself you can never grow as an artist.
He is a proud sponsored Borg Tattoo Machine and Fusion pigment artist. He uses these on a daily basis cause feels that using only the finest products and supplies definitely shows in the outcome of the work. Borg tattoo machines are a solid lightweight machine that can saturate the color just like he prefers, lay in a clean ass line, order do super smooth black and grey.
His work has been published in multiple international magazines and has won over 30 industry awards for his tattoos.
